Rob Pelinka: Baller

Rob Pelinka, LFHS 1988.

A basketball star at Lake Forest High School, Rob Pelinka went on to play for the University of Michigan in the Big 10. He was a member of the Wolverines’ three NCAA Final Four teams of 1989, ‘92, and ’93. He was sixth man on the ’93 “Fab Five” squad while attending law school. That year he was named the NCAA’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.


Rob later became a sports agent, representing NBA stars such as Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Dion Waiters, and Andre Drummond. Most recently he is general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, which signed LeBron James to play for the 2018-19 season.
