Greg McPartlin

Greg McPartlin was a Navy SEAL, Vietnam War veteran, and influential community figure in Coronado, CA. Raised in Lake Forest, Illinois, McPartlin began his own path of service at 16 as an ambulance driver, later enlisting in the Navy as a corpsman. He was first deployed with the Marine Third Force Recon during the Tet Offensive, then retrained as a SEAL, joining SEAL Team One, ALFA Platoon, for a second tour in Vietnam.

In the 1970s, McPartlin became a successful real estate investor in Coronado, and in 1982 he founded McP's Irish Pub as a welcoming space for SEALs and other military members. McP's quickly became a local favorite, and McPartlin generously supported community causes, including the Coronado Library, schools, and SEAL reunions. In 2005, he published Combat Corpsman, a memoir of his Vietnam experiences. His legacy reflects a deep commitment to both service and community, honoring the values he and his brother shared.
